What Change Always Brings
Every time I see a quote on change, it reminds me how much change is about life, including our personal lives. The quote below from Robert Redford – so beautifully stated.
I recently watched Season 1 of a series called Ripple. It’s about people living in a major city where so much is anonymous, who, by chance, change each other’s lives in significant ways (I happened to notice Carrot Common in an episode or 2 – where I once had my therapy office - interesting, at least to me). One of the characters made a passing comment that reflected what was happening to all of them that I really took in. Love is loss. She went on to say that, even though we know we’ll suffer when it ends, we do it anyway, willingly.
Change is ever-present, and change means the loss of something and the beginning of something else. That “something else” may bring hardship for a while, and then – always – promise.
Quote of the Week
One of the things that will always be inevitable is change, full of both vague uncertainty and brilliant promise.
