Movement As A Form Of Courage
I read a blog a while ago that made a great point on what grabs our attention. If I’m looking for something I’ll naturally notice anything that changes (moves). On the other hand, if I don’t want to be noticed, I’ll stay still.
This is true of all animals. A cat becomes motionless when stalking a mouse or bird, and is irresistibly attracted to the mouse when the mouse moves.
For those of us who don’t like being in the spotlight, we’ve learned to be still and not attract attention.
What kind of challenge might it be to move instead of staying still?
