Don’t Let Safety Steal Your Dream
These days, we are constantly inundated with social media messages that make us feel like we’re less than, unable to deal with the world as it is. We get the message that we should be grateful if we have a job, even if it’s uninteresting. Because it’s safe.
As a result of this depressing and defeating messaging, many of us settle for less than we could have in our lives, and then slowly, we get comfortable and lose our motivation and passion for what we thought life could be like.
So depressing to see this and be a part of it.
The thing is, though, that those social media messages made by people who often enhance themselves in many ways, only look like the truth. In actual fact, there is so much opportunity out there right now, if you find the right doors to open. Finding those doors takes time, and trial and error, but they are there, waiting for you.
I’m not suggesting you quit what you’re doing and risk everything this moment. What I am suggesting is to not give up your dream, and that you thoughtfully plan your way into a fulfilling life. Your dream is real. The opportunity is real. And that opportunity you make will never happen if you choose to be safe.
Quote of the Week
“When you settle for anything short of the best life God wants to offer you, then you have been tempted to remain safe and the accountability for not changing your life becomes your prison of regret.”
― Shannon L Alder
